Juventus returnee Paul Pogba faces spell on the sidelines after suffering knee injury
Paul Pogba could miss the start of next season after sustaining a serious knee injury.
Juventus have confirmed the French midfielder, who rejoined a mere 14 days earlier via free agency following termination of his Manchester United contract, will undergo specialist orthopedic consultation to learn the extent of the problem.

The 29-year-old made his unofficial return against Mexican outfit Guadalajara playing just the opening half of their pre-season meeting at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada before Old Lady head coach Massimiliano Allegri made wholesale changes for the second half.
This is the latest setback for Pogba who during his final seasons at Old Trafford suffered a slew of ailments ranging from hamstring and calf issues. Juve are now preparing to face Barcelona in Dallas, Texas without their World Cup winner.
“Following the pain reported in his right knee, Paul Pogba was subjected to radiological investigations which revealed a lesion of the lateral meniscus,” a club statement read.
“In the next few hours he will undergo a specialist orthopedic consultation. Therefore, he will not take part in the trip to Dallas to continue treatment.”
Once pre-season is firmly behind them 36-time Italian champions Juventus begin their 2022/23 Serie A campaign at home against Sassuolo on August 15.
