Parma will be looking to get their Serie A campaign back on track when they welcome Lazio to the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Sunday (2pm kick-off UK Time).
The Crusaders are fighting to avoid relegation this season, but their recent form has been abysmal. They are currently 18th in the league and winless in seven, including four straight defeats going into this weekend’s game. Parma were beaten 3-0 on the road at Atalanta in midweek, which was the third time in their past four league games in which they had conceded at least three goals.
At home, Parma are currently on a two-game losing stream, however, that was preceded by a seven-match unbeaten run. The bad news is that Parma have failed to score in their past four home league games, and have just two goals in five games against Lazio.
Meanwhile, Lazio’s recent form in Serie A has been a mixed bag with two victories, two defeats and two draws in their past six games. In midweek, they beat Fiorentina 2-1 at home, ending a two-game winless run in Serie A, leaving them in eighth and four points behind the Europa League spot.
Away from home, Lazio have looked pretty solid over the past three months, with just one defeat in their last nine competitive matches. However, they are winless in their past three away league games, drawing twice, but they did well to score at least once in each of these matches.
Will Parma manage to get their first point in five Serie A games, or can Lazio record back-to-back victories in the league for the first time this season?
Parma XI: Sepe; Osorio, Alves, Osorio, Busi; Hernani, Brugman, Sohm; Kurtic, Cornelius, Gervinho.
Lazio XI: Reina; Felipe, Acerbi, Radu; Lazzari, Milinkovic-Savic, Leiva, Alberto, Marusic; Caicedo, Immobile.
