Canada odds: To win 2022 World Cup, how far will they go, top scorer and more

For the first time in 36 years and for just the second time in their history, Canada will play at the World Cup finals in Qatar.
The Canadians lost all three of their group games in 1986 and failed to score a single goal at the tournament, something they will be looking to put right this time.
In a tough group, they will be looking to young stars Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies amongst others to make history and make it through to the knockout stages.
Canada to win 2022 World Cup odds
Canada are rank outsiders at 200/1 to win the 2022 World Cup.
John Herdman’s side qualified for the tournament after a 4-0 win over Jamaica ensured they would take part in just their second ever World Cup tournament.
Canada have qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 36 years, finishing bottom of their group in their only other appearance at the tournament in 1986.

If Canada win Group F
If Canada were to win Group F, then this would be their route through to the final.
- Last 16: The runners-up of Group E which consists of Spain, Costa Rica/New Zealand, Germany and Japan in Al Rayyan on the 6th December.
- Quarter-finals: The winner of match 56, played between Group H winners and Group G runners-up.
- Semi-finals: The winner of Match 59 which will include one of the Group B or Group D winners, or runners-up from Group A or C.
If Canada finish second in Group F:
- Last 16: The winners of Group E in Al Wakrah on the 5th December.
- Quarter-finals: The winner of Match 54, played between Group G winners and Group H runners-up.
- Semi-finals: The winner of Match 57, which could include the Group A or C winners, or runners-up from Group B or D.
As mentioned, Canada were knocked out in the group stages in their only other World Cup appearance in 1986, losing all three of their group games.
They are 16/1 to win their group and 11/4 to qualify for the last 16, which will still be a huge task.
