Warren Gatland’s Wales topped Pool C with four wins from four, while victory over Japan last weekend helped the Argentines secure second place in Pool D.

Wales vs Argentina preview

After modest pre-tournament expectations, Wales will be full of momentum after topping a pool that included Australia and Fiji.

The Welsh are now looking to reach their fourth World Cup semi-final from seven attempts.

As for Argentina, they are back in the knockout stages after falling at the first hurdle four years ago.

Warren Gatland makes six changes from Wales’ win over Georgia last time out. They include the returns of Dan Biggar from injury and captain Jac Morgan, with Taulupe Faletau will miss the remainder of the tournament through injury.

Meanwhile, Michael Cheika makes just two changes from Argentina’s win over Japan. Tomas Cubelli replaces Gonzalo Bertranou at scrum-half, while Facundo Isa comes in at number eight for the injured Pablo Matera.
