Olympiacos will be hoping to climb up the EuroLeague standings by securing back-to-back wins for just the second time this season. Finishing runners-up last season, it’s been a bit of an underwhelming campaign for Olympiacos so far, with the Greek side sitting on a record of 4-4. It leaves them ninth in the table, currently in the play-in spots but, of course, there is still a long way to go in the season.

The Greek side won three of their opening five games, beating Panathinaikos, Partizan and Anadolu Efes alongside defeats to Barcelona and Olimpia Milano. But the third win, against Anadolu Efes, was followed by back-to-back losses against Fenerbahce and Baskonia. Olympiacos did return to winning ways last time out, beating Maccabi Tel Aviv 79-74, leaning on a good first half before slightly dropping off in the final two quarters.

Crvena zvezda, meanwhile, are currently on the outside of the play-ins spaces, albeit just one win behind Olympiacos. They were in this position last season, missing out on the playoffs by just two wins, so they’ll be hoping to avoid that this season — especially with the added entries into the playoffs via the play-ins. But after eight games Crvena zvezda do have a negative win record at 3-5.

It was a disastrous start to the campaign for Crvena zvezda, with the Serbian side losing four of their opening five games. Opening with a victory over LDLC ASVEL, Crvena zvezda went on to lose to Zalgiris, Monaco, Virtus Bologna and Partizan, the latter a tough defeat in the Belgrade derby. But Crvena zvezda bounced back with a win over Bayern Munich and while they lost to Barcelona in their next game, last time out it was a comprehensive 87-56 victory against Fenerbahce.
