Both sides have already taken to the field in this World Cup so will be looking to build on their performances as New Zealand and Netherlands face off on Monday (09:30 BST).

New Zealand have already taken a massive step towards the knockout rounds with an annihilation of England in the opening match of the tournament.

Netherlands did quite well to restrict Pakistan to under 300, but never got close to their run chase, falling to 205 all out.

New Zealand vs Netherlands Betting Tips

New Zealand to enhance their credentials further

Because New Zealand produced such a facile victory in beating England on the opening day, it is actually not that easy to assess a lot of their players’ form ahead of this clah. Indeed, if form holds then it may be that the New Zealand middle order is going to be very undercooked by the middle of the group stage.

Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway put on an absolute clinic in the run chase against England, turning what was thought to have been a fairly tricky chase into a walk in the park. Ravindra is still new on the international scene, but he has a crispness of technique and timing which is both enthralling, and makes him a potential value selection at this stage. His price with a couple of bookmakers is far too big for this match.

Both of these teams chased in the opening matches, however, Netherlands found chasing a very tough task against Pakistan. The New Zealand seamers are almost always a strong suit for the team, and this is no different for the Black Caps in this tournament. The Netherlands have done well as a batting unit in qualification for the finals, adopting an attacking style, but this different class of bowler will see them struggle to put up a total.

The chances of New Zealand having a batter that surpasses the total of a Netherlands batsman seems highly likely, perhaps even more so than Sky Bet believe in their odds for this market.
