With just two defeats in his last 10 matches, Hurkacz finds himself on a good run of form. The Pole has climbed to No.9 in the world with 23 wins from 33 matches overall in 2024, but for all his good work, he’s yet to reach a major final this year. That’s something he’ll want to put right but first, he must make amends for his disappointing defeat to Taylor Fritz at the Madrid Open at the end of April.
Up next, he has the small matter of facing the Italian Open’s most successful men’s player of all time.
