England vs Argentina Predictions: Rugby World Cup betting tips, news, lineups
England and Argentina will vie for the bronze medal at the Rugby World Cup when they collide at Stade de France on Friday (8pm BST).
Both sides are aiming to bow out of the tournament on a high after suffering semi-final heartbreak last week.
Argentina were comfortably swept aside by New Zealand, while England saw victory snatched away in the dying moments by South Africa.
England vs Argentina Betting Tips
- Henry Arundell to score anytime try @ 6/4 with Bet365
- Emiliano Boffelli to score first try @ 16/1 with Sky Bet
Henry Arundell has been restored to the starting XV for what will only be his second appearance at this World Cup.
His first was certainly one to remember, the back scoring a whopping five tries in England’s rout of Chile during the pool stage.
He will be eager to make the most of this opportunity and two more tries would see his surpass Chris Ashton’s England record for a single edition, having crossed six times in 2011.
But Argentina will have something to say about that. The Pumas were quick out of the blocks against New Zealand, but were powerless once the All Blacks got into their stride.
Michael Cheika’s side will target another purposeful start here and that could benefit players like Emiliano Boffelli, who is their leading points scorer at this World Cup with 57.
Only the fourth Argentine to score a half-century of points during a single tournament, the winger scored 25 of his nation’s 30 points when they defeated England last year.
