Anthony Joshua v Robert Helenius: Prediction, undercard, odds and UK start time
Anthony Joshua looks to continue his resurgence against stand-in Robert Helenius at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday.
Joshua was due to face Dillian Whyte at the same venue on the same date. But the heavyweight rematch was cancelled due to the latter failing a drugs test.
Helenius, who stands at 6ft 6in and has a 32-4 career record, subsequently stepped in with less than a week’s notice, and is fresh from a third-round TKO win over Mika Mielonen in his native Finland last weekend.
“This wasn’t in the script,” Joshua said of the situation. “I am laser focused on the win.”
“I am a true Viking that is willing to face any challenge at a moment’s notice,” his 39-year-old opponent added.
“This is not an opportunity I was going to let slip away. I plan to make the most of it.”
Joshua v Helenius: Prediction and betting tip
Despite stopping the rot against Franklin, Joshua was far from convincing and required a unanimous decision to see the job through.
The Briton is a heavy favourite to make it back-to-back wins, but the focus will be on the manner in which he achieves it.
Joshua will be eager to make a statement by finishing the job as early as possible, and he is facing a man who has never contested a world title and was knocked out by Deontay Wilder in the first round.
Therefore, we’re backing him to seal victory by knockout in the third round.
