Afghanistan come into this match knowing they need to win, as well as seeing Pakistan and New Zealand lose, to pull off one of the biggest shocks in World Cup history and qualify for the semi-finals. It’s been a tournament to remember for the Afghanistan side, with tremendous wins over Sri Lanka and Pakistan giving them a shot of a semi-final spot with just one game left to play.

South Africa have already sealed their place in the final four, losing just two of their eight matches so far and they could be found guilty of taking their foot off the gas as they look towards a huge semi-final match against Australia.

Afghanistan could well pull off another shock here but, with two other results needing to go their way, we can’t see them making the semi-final. It’s still been a tournament that the side will be able to look back on with immense pride, though.
