Osasuna vs Sevilla build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:

After enduring a 13-game run, during which time they couldn’t buy a win, it seems there’s light at the end of the tunnel for Osasuna, who have accumulated nine points from their last four league outings.

Only a narrow 1-0 loss at Real Betis has prevented Jagoba Arrasate’s men from enjoying a four-game winning streak. Instead they come into this week’s game having won their last two league fixtures, which is their best run since the backend of last season. At home they’re unbeaten in four and recently held defending champions Real Madrid to a goalless stalemate.

There’s no question Sevilla are La Liga’s in-form side. Across their previous five league fixtures they’ve picked up the maximum number of points whilst scoring 11 times and conceding just once. This has subsequently catapulted them into fourth place and opened up a sizeable gap on a gaggle of clubs below them.

On the road they’ve been performing reasonably well since November, and the Andalusian-based club come into this fixture having won five of their last seven matches away from home. The only dropped points came at local rivals Real Betis (1-1) and runaway leaders Atletico Madrid (2-0).

  • Osasuna (vs Levante): Herrera; Vidal, Hernandez, Garcia, Cruz; Perez, Torro; Torres, Moncayola, Garcia; Calleri.
  • Sevilla (vs Borussia Dortmund): Bono; Navas, Kounde, Carlos, Escudero; Fernando, Jordan, Rakitic; Suso, En-Nesyri, Gomez.

No fewer than five players are missing for Osasuna for this Sevilla visit: Juan Cruz, Ruben Garcia, Ruben Martinez, Facundo Roncaglia and Jony sit out for the hosts. Lopetegui must do without Lucas Ocampos and Marcos Acuna.

Player to watch: Munir El-Haddadi (Sevilla)

After making a rare league start at Huesca last time out and finding the net Munir El-Haddadi will be hoping to have cemented that berth, though nothing is a guarantee especially as star forward Youssef En-Nesyri came off the bench. However, there could be another reason for Lopetegui to stick with the Barcelona academy graduate, and that’s his decent record against their upcoming opponents. In two previous matches at El Sadar — the home of Osasuna — he’s been involved in three goals. That being said, both games ended in a stalemate; while representing Valencia during the 2016/17 season he’d score before creating another in a 3-3 draw. And last season Munir put Sevilla ahead but they couldn’t hold on.
