Norwich City vs Chelsea predicted XIs: Team news as Thomas Tuchel welcomes back Marcos Alonso
Chelsea look to continue their strong recent form when they travel to struggling Norwich in the Premier League on Thursday (7.30pm GMT).
Unbeaten over 90 minutes in 10 matches, Thomas Tuchel’s side can consolidate their top-four status at Carrow Road. The Blues are unbeaten in their last 13 Premier League clashes with Norwich, winning each of the five most recent encounters.
Despite a recent upturn in fortunes that lifted them out of the relegation zone, a run of four successive defeats has since Dean Smith’s side slip to the bottom of the table. And the Canaries will need to be at their best to have any chance of recording a first win over Chelsea since December 1994.

Chelsea team news vs Norwich City: Alonso could return
Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta returned to training earlier this week.
Alonso has not played since the Carabao Cup final after testing positive for COVID-19, but could make his 200th Chelsea appearance here.
Meanwhile, Azpilicueta has also been absent since that defeat by Liverpool, and this game may be too soon for his return.
Ben Chilwell remains a long-term absentee, but the England international returned to ball work on the training pitch this week for the first time since sustaining a serious knee injury.
