“My ranking has never sort of reflected my game. That’s also due to the schedule I play. I have never really played a full schedule. To say Mikael Ymer has done things the hard way this week is an understatement. The Swede has won four consecutive three-setters as the underdog against Andy Murray (7-6 (8), 4-6, 6-1), Aslan Karatsev (6-4, 3-6, 6-4), Emil Ruusuvuori (6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-4) and Sebastian Korda (6-2, 5-7, 6-3). One more win guarantees Ymer a new career-high ranking next Monday.
