Nick Kyrgios vs Jeffrey John Wall preview and prediction

Not for the first time in his career Kyrgios will play the pantomime bad guy here as he takes on home hope Jeffrey John Wolf here in the Third Round. The Australian started the tournament in good form seeing off fellow Australian and friend Thanasi Kokkinakis in straight sets. He had a few more problems in the next round needing four sets to see off Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi. Nick was back to his volatile self arguing with the umpire about ‘unusual smells’ coming from the crowd.

If he can concentrate on the court he stands a good chance of making the third round of the US Open for the sixth time in his career. Awaiting him in the Fourth Round would be number one seed Danill Medvedev in what would be an absolute cracker.

His opponent is Jeffrey John Wolf who as well as having the coolest sounding name in Tennis is an upcoming yougster on the circuit. Wolf is 23-years-old and qualified for this event as wildcard. He started with an impressive straight sets victory over number 16 seed Roberto Bautista Agut. In the next round he needed four sets to hold off Chilean Alejandro Tabilo. He now faces the biggest challenge of his career against the Wimbledon finalist but he will have the crowd on his side. The Ohio native will hope this will allow to have the game of his career.
