Next Liverpool manager odds: Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso among favourites
Former Liverpool stars Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso are among the favourites to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
Klopp, who has a contract until 2024, is evens to be the next Premier League manager to depart after a miserable run since they thrashed Crystal Palace 7-0 at Selhurst Park in December.
The Reds have picked up just nine points from the 10 fixtures since and sit 13 points off Premier League leaders Manchester City having played a game more.
It prompted Klopp to concede the title in his post-match press conference after Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat at Leicester on Saturday.
They have now lost three Premier League games in a row for the first time since November 2014 and face a battle to finish inside the top four.
That sequence has seen Klopp emerge as the new favourite to leave next, with the odds suggesting Gerrard and Alonso are towards the front of the queue to succeed the German.
