Zenit St. Petersburg have completed the signing of Emiliano Rigoni from Independiente.
Confirmation of this transfer – worth a reported £8.10 million was brought to light via the Russian outfit’s official website this afternoon as the winger has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal at the Saint Petersburg Stadium.
Beginning his career in Argentina at Belgrano, Rigoni made his debut for the first team in August 2013 and went on to make 74 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight time and weighing in with a total of six assists before leaving for Independiente in early 2016.

It was at the Estadio Libertadores de América stadium were Rigoni development began to soar. He featured in 47 games in total, scored 13 goals and recorded seven assists which has earned him this lucrative move to Russia.
This move for Zenit marks a notable shift towards signing Argentine players. Rigoni now becomes the fifth player from the South American country to be signed by the club this summer and that should make them rather exciting to watch this season under former Manchester City and Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini.
