Ahead of the world’s biggest tournament, Squawka have launched our Match Centre, a new way to follow football with us.
The Match Centre doesn’t just come into play when games are going on. Our Match Centres are live to help buildup to games, with a variety of sections to give you all you need to know. They’re joined by our own match previews, with tips, team news and all the key details.
But once games are live you can also follow along with the key stats in-play, making it easier than ever to now to be in-the-know. And once the game is over, the Match Centre will remain, keeping the in-play stats available for all to see whenever you need it.
Let’s have a deeper dive into what the Squawka Match Centre allows us to do. And, this is just the start.

Pre-match
Odds
The first tab of our pre-event Match Centre is all about the odds. Aided by our tips below the Match Centre, you can easily get the overview of how games are expected to play out, based on their odds. Our match odds are provided by a variety of bookmakers, looking to give you the best possible for any bets you wish to make. There are a host of markets available, too.
Head-to-head
To help add to the context around matches before they start, you can use the head-to-head tab to see how recent competitive meetings between the two sides have played out. Maybe there’s a bogey team in the fixture, or one side that has dominated in recent years regardless of overall form. You’ll find all you need to know here.
Player stats
You can also look at pre-match stat tables involving players for your selected game. Which players are leading the way for goals, assists, passing, tackles and more. Whether you’re using the stats to aid betting options, fantasy football picks, or just want to know who the danger players are, the Squawka Match Centre is the one for you.
Possible XI
Keeping on the track of fantasy football picks, and player bets, you can use the Squawka Match Centre to see predicted starting XIs. These are created based on a selection of recent lineups, and take into account injuries and suspensions. As with anything, these are only predictions, but they’re among the best you’ll find.
Price boosts
If you want to know how to make the most of your money, maximising your betting options, then the Price Boosts tab will be good. Through our Match Centre you can see all price boosts for a game, from our trusted bookmakers.
Bet builder
You can also create your bet builders without leaving the Match Centre. There are a lot of markets available for every match, and the odds are provided by trusted bookmakers, to give you a host of options.
Table
The final tab of our pre-event Match Centre allows you to take a look at tables to see what the state of play is like before games. For the World Cup, this will help see who might need what result to aid their chances of qualification. You can also see each team’s form across their past five games in the respective competition.
In-play and post-match
Timeline
Once a game has kicked off, you can follow it with five different in-play Match Centre tabs. The first is the timeline, which will tell you everything you need to know about how the game is panning out. The timeline is the place to see goals, cards and substitutions as each match goes on.
Team stats
Our next tab is all about the team stats. Here, you can find the key stats from the game, updating as the match goes on. You’ll find the basics such as shots, goals, cards and possessions, but also corners, shots on target and Expected Goals.
Lineup
Once a game starts, our Possible XI tab turns into Lineup, which allows you to see the actual teams on the pitch. This includes the formation, full list of substitutes and whether certain players have scored, or been carded.
Match leaders
If you want a deeper breakdown into some player stats, the Match Leaders tab is the one for you. Here, the Squawka Match Centre allows you to see which players lead the way for key stats such as goals, shots and tackles won.
Table
Our final tab is the table, which updates post-match so you can see what the game actually meant to the standings.
