Arsenal and Liverpool face off in an all-Premier League pre-season friendly on Thursday 1st August at 12:30am (UK time).
We’re just over two weeks away from the start of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign and preparations are on-going. Liverpool, meanwhile, face Manchester United in America and close pre-season against Sevilla at Anfield.

Liverpool fielded a strong side against Real Betis in Pittsburgh on Saturday, with Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo all starting against the Spanish side.
Stefan Bajcetic made his return from injury from the bench in Pennsylvania, while Harvey Elliot was opening in a false nine role at the top of the pitch.

Arsenal made five changes from the Bournemouth game when taking on Manchester United with Martin Odegaard, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Jesus, Jorginho and Oleksandr Zinchenko handed starting roles.
Thomas Partey, Gabriel, Martinelli and Kai Havertz all made substitute appearances for Arteta’s men against the Red Devils and that quartet will be pushing for a starting role. Arne Slot is just settling into the role as the manager of the Anfield outfit and it will be interesting to see how Liverpool shape up against a top-level Arsenal side.
The Dutchman opted for a 4-2-3-1 formation against Betis, with Harvey Elliot operating in an unfamiliar forward role, but we may see a change of shape against the Gunners.
Liverpool have ground to make up on Arsenal on last season’s evidence in the Premier League and the Reds will be hoping to show that they remain a title-chasing force.
