Fiorentina are set to complete the signing of Serbian youngster Dusan Vlahovic from Partizan Belgrade.
The teenage striker will sign a five-year deal in Florence, confirmed on the club’s official website, once undergoing a successful medical which takes place on Monday but the deal won’t be ratified until he he turns 18 – on January 28 next year.
Having made his Serbian Super Liga debut on 21 February 2016 against OFK Beograd, Vlahovic thus became the youngest debutant in history of the club and has gone on to play 27 times for his boyhood club – registering three goals in the process.
Furthermore, on 2 April 2016, Vlahović scored his first goal for Partizan against Radnik Surdulica in 3–2 home win and became the youngest scorer in club history.
Vlahovic, who has previously been linked with another Serie A outfit in the guise of Sampdoria, has earned three Serbia U19 international caps to date with a single goal to show for it.
He is also not the first player to relocate to Tuscany from Partizan this summer as Vlahovic will reunite with Serbia U21 international central defender Nikola Milenkovic.
Fiorentina are looking to build on their eighth place finish in the Italian championship last season and recently tasked ex-player and former Inter Milan manager Stefano Pioli with the job.
