Copybet Premier League Tips
Reason for tip

We fancy City to find the net at least three times at Turf Moor on Friday night as they begin their Premier League campaign in style.

Reason for tip

Arsenal lifted the Community Shield last weekend with an impressive display against Manchester City and the Gunners will be in a confident mood after a summer of strong transfer activity.

Reason for tip

Both teams to score would have been a winning bet in each of the Premier League encounters between these two sides last season and we’re expecting more of the same this time around.

Reason for tip

With question marks over how both will perform this season, we’ve gone for what looks to be a safe bet and backed both teams to score.

Burnley vs Manchester City Tip

Turf Moor – Friday, August 11, 20:00

Manchester City to score +2.5 goals @ 6/5

Burnley are back in the Premier League following a drastic overhaul in their time away from the top-flight, looking almost unrecognisable upon their return.

Vincent Kompany will take charge of his first Premier League match as The Clarets manager against the side that he won four league titles with, Manchester City.

Burnley have had a busy summer, bringing in plenty of new faces including goalkeeper James Trafford, who was signed from Manchester City on the back of winning the Euro U21 tournament with England this summer.

These sides met last season in an FA Cup tie at the Etihad Stadium in what turned out to be a rather one sided affair as City blew away the visitors 6-0 thanks in no small part to a hat-trick from Erling Haaland. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City lost out on the first silverware of the season last weekend, as they were defeated 4-2 on penalties by Arsenal in the Community Shield. And last season’s title winners have lost a couple of key players this summer in Riyad Mahrez and most notably, midfielder Ilkay Gundogan who joined Barcelona on a free transfer, ending his seven-year stint as a Manchester City player.

Croatians Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol have been brought in to strengthen the squad as Pep Guardiola looks to make it six Premier League titles in the last seven years.

We fancy City to find the net at least three times at Turf Moor on Friday night as they begin their Premier League campaign in style.

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest Tip

The Emirates Stadium – Saturday, August 12, 12:30

Arsenal to win to nil @ 10/11

Arsenal lifted the Community Shield last weekend with an impressive display against Manchester City and the Gunners will be in a confident mood after a summer of strong transfer activity.

The arrivals of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber, strengthen last season’s runners-up in key areas and Mikel Arteta’s men will feel they can go one step further than they did in the 2022/23 campaign.

Nottingham Forest got the better of Arsenal when the two sides met at the City Ground towards the end of last season but Steve Cooper’s side have less enjoyable memories of the Emirates where they were turned over 5-0 in October.

Forest brought in an incredible 30 new players last summer following their promotion to the top flight, but the Tricky Trees have had a much quieter time in the transfer market this time around and go into the new campaign with a much more settled side.

The men from the City Ground will be optimistic of their chances of once again surviving the drop this season but we can see Arsenal recording a comfortable home win against them on Saturday.

Brentford vs Tottenham Hotspur Tip

Gtech Community Stadium – Sunday, August 13, 14:00

Both Teams to Score @ 4/7

Brentford will be without star man Ivan Toney until January following off-field issues but when without their number nine in the latter period of last season, the Bees found things to be much better than expected.

Thomas Frank’s side enjoyed a fine end to the campaign, beating Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in their final two Premier League games of last season, and the West Londoners will once again rely on the pairing of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wisssa to step up to the plate in the absence of Ivan Toney.

Both teams to score would have been a winning bet in each of the Premier League encounters between these two sides last season and we’re expecting more of the same this time around.

It’s been a busy summer for Spurs, with a change of manager, plenty of new faces through the door and, at the time of writing, Harry Kane still being at the club despite Bayern Munich’s relentless pursuit of his signature.

New manager Ange Postecoglu will be desperate to keep hold of Kane, with the Englishman netting 30 goals in the Premier League last season and Spurs have had no problems finding the net in pre-season, scoring fourteen goals in just four matches.

We’ve gone for both teams to score in this London derby, as we saw two very entertaining games between these sides last season.

Chelsea vs Liverpool Tip

Stamford Bridge – Sunday, August 13, 16:30

Both Teams to Score @ 8/15

Chelsea return to top-flight action on Sunday looking to put last season’s disastrous campaign firmly behind them. The Blues have turned to Mauricio Pochettino to get the best out of a no doubt talented group of players and his task will be to return the West Londoners to European football at the very least.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has continued to spend heavily since taking over from Roman Abramovich, with a £178m outlay on transfers this summer, including the arrival of Christopher Nkunku who will unfortunately miss up to four months of action following an injury sustained in pre-season.

Liverpool have lost a plethora of dressing room experience this summer, with captain Jordan Henderson moving to Saudi Arabia alongside Reds legend Steven Gerrard. Vastly experienced midfielder James Milner joined Brighton earlier this summer on a free transfer and has been followed out the door by Fabinho.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have though made some serious additions, with World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister joining from Brighton and young talent Dominik Szoboszlai signed from German side RB Leipzig.

The Reds missed out on a Champions League place last season despite a strong end to the campaign and will be aiming to cement their place in next season’s competition after last season’s slip-up.

With question marks over how both will perform this season, we’ve gone for what looks to be a safe bet and backed both teams to score in this tasty encounter on paper, as Stamford Bridge plays host to an absolute cracker on the opening weekend.
