Historically this clash has always been an entertaining and eye catching affair and it promises to be even more so this time around with United temporarily under the control of their former number nine, Ruud van Nistelrooy. The Dutchman took charge of the side for their emphatic midweek victory against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup and is expected to name another attacking line up for the visit of Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea.
Sitting 14th in the league at present, United are in dire need of three points ahead of the likely appointment of their long term new manager Ruben Amorin later this month. But a win will be no small task against a Chelsea team who have lost just one of their last six games in the top flight and could go third in the table if other results go their way.
Just as he did last season, Cole Palmer is the star of the show for the West Londoners this campaign and he’s netted seven times in the league already. The England man scored at Old Trafford in this fixture last season and he is 5/1 with sportsbook CopyBet to bag first in this game and 7/5 to get on the scoresheet at any time. For United, strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are both 7/4 to add to their tallies.
If it’s longer odds that you’re looking for in the goalscoring market then Manchester United’s Brazilian midfielder Casemiro could be an interesting consideration. Not famed for being prolific in front of goal, the former Real Madrid man has enjoyed a week to remember with three goals in two games. He has also scored twice against Sunday’s opponents in just three meetings and at 6/1 to score anytime he’s worth a look.
In the outright match betting Manchester United are 6/4 for the win while Chelsea are slight favourites at 29/20. The draw, on offer at 13/5, could be a popular bet, especially if you consider that five of the last eight league meetings between these two clubs have ended all square.
CopyBet has a number of markets on site for this intriguing Premier League clash, as well as specials and promotional offers which include their current 10-50 Free Bet offer for new customers. This offer provides five £10 free bets when you deposit and place one £10 qualifying bet.
