Chelsea vs Everton prediction, odds, tips & team news

Chelsea host Everton in a Premier League showdown on Saturday, April 26th, at 12:30pm (UK time). The Blues will be looking to take one step closer to Champions League qualification with a win against The Toffees, and our man Anthony Eadson has previewed the action and provided us with two tips at 5/4 and 19/1.
Levi Colwill 1+ Shot (5/4 with Sky Bet)
Levi Colwill might be a centre-back, but he’s been making waves in the shot markets lately—and he’s well worth a look to register at least one effort on target against Jordan Pickford. The Chelsea defender fired off four shots in his last Premier League game at Stamford Bridge against Ipswich and followed that up with two more at Fulham.
He’s now had at least one attempt in eight of his last 11 league matches, proving he’s not just a defensive rock but also a genuine threat going forward—especially from set-pieces. With his aerial presence and growing confidence, Colwill is a smart pick if you’re hunting for value in the player shots market.
Levi Colwill 2+ Shots & 2+ Fouls Committed (19/1 with Sky Bet)
I’m going one step further with my longshot and I’ve had a small punt on Colwill to let off at least two shots and commit at least two fouls. This is a bet that has landed in the Chelsea defenders’ last two matches. Against Fulham last week he recorded two shots and two fouls. While against Ipswich the week before, he recorded four shots and four fouls. Against a stubborn Everton side who are challenging to break down, I can envisage him having some shots from set pieces and committing a couple.

How both teams go into Chelsea vs Everton
There was a moment in December when Chelsea, who came into this season with a new manager, were on the cusp of becoming title challengers. A five-game winning streak, part of an eight-game unbeaten run (six wins and two draws), left them in second place, three points behind leaders Liverpool after 16 matches. However, their form soon deteriorated with a five-game winless run (three draws and two losses). They then won five of their next ten outings (four losses and one draw), putting them in sixth place but within touching distance of the 2025/26 Champions League group stage, with fifth place enough for qualification.
Things could not be any different for Everton, who began their campaign with four consecutive losses and won only two of their opening 13 matches (six losses and five draws). Sean Dyche would soon be on the hot seat, with the Toffees struggling in front of goal, and was dismissed after 20 games in charge with Everton lying second from bottom but two points above safety. David Moyes returned, and under him, Everton have only lost two of their 13 matches, with one of those being last week against Manchester City and the other being against Liverpool.
Chelsea team news
Wesley Fofana and Omari Kellyman, who are both dealing with thigh injuries, will not be available for Chelsea until next season. Marc Guéhi, who is also recovering from that ailment, is also unavailable but could return towards the end of their 2024/25 campaign. Romeo Lavia is doubtful, but there is no return date for Mykhailo Mudryk, who is currently serving an FA suspension.
Everton team news
Orel Mangala and Jesper Lindstrom are out for Everton until next season, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also ruled out, though he recently returned to training. However, according to head coach David Moyes, “we have another three weeks before we can start talking about him getting back into full-time training or games.”
Chelsea vs Everton head-to-head
Chelsea have only won four of their previous 14 league meetings with Everton (five draws and five losses), with three of those wins coming at home.
