This is such an important divisional game in the NFC East. The Commanders would leapfrog the Giants with a win at the MetLife Stadium, but perhaps more importantly, given the strength of that particular division, would solidify their hold on a play-off wild card spot. Indeed, from being 1-4 in early season, the Commanders showed a lot of discipline and mental strength to come out on top in a number of tight matches against the likes of the Packers and the Colts before gaining some confidence and becoming more dominant in their most recent wins against the Falcons, Texans, and that incredible 32-21 victory at the Eagles.

Meanwhile, the Giants have been inconsistent. They suffered a chastening divisional defeat at the Cowboys in their last match and undoubtedly the time since then will have been used to re-set and prepare for a huge run-in to the end of the regular season. Daniel Jones’ athletic play at quarterback could be key to the success of the Giants’ offense and Jones actually ranks inside the top six in terms of yards made per carry, something that the Commanders D-line will have to be prepared for.

On form it is difficult to look past the Commanders, but the extra time that the Giants have had to prepare and the undoubted focus that Brian Daboll would have instilled into his players could give them the advantage.
