Netherlands youngsters Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong both have the world at their feet.

The latter has already secured a lucrative move to Barcelona, while the former is being coveted by almost all of Europe’s elite clubs.

They are both expected to enjoy long, successful careers at the top level, with Ronald Koeman set to build his team around the pair for the foreseeable future.

However, what if you had to force one of them to retire from international football? Right now. It would be an incredibly difficult – and harsh – choice to make.

But that’s what our ‘Would You Rather’ video series is all about! We caught up with Nations League fans in Portugal to ask some of the most difficult questions you’ll ever come across – as well as some more light hearted ones.

Do Dutch fans want to go on holiday with Memphis Depay or Virgil van Dijk? And would they bring back Clarence Seedorf or Dennis Bergkamp in their prime if they had the opportunity?

Would England fans be willing to cut Jadon Sancho’s international career short if it meant Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was allowed to continue playing for the Three Lions?

Opinions are very much divided but one thing we can all agree on is that football fans have no problem making ruthless decisions!
