Radja Nainggolan: It would be “strange” if I left Inter

Inter Milan midfielder Radja Nainggolan has labelled the rumours suggesting he will leave the club this summer as “strange”.
The Belgian only joined the club last summer from fellow Serie A side Roma but reports have hinted at another switch for the 31-year-old, who has now denied he is eyeing an exit from the San Siro so soon.
Has Nainggolan flopped at Inter? Five things to know…
- Inter signed Radja Nainggolan from Roma last summer in a players-plus-cash deal worth €38m.
- He scored seven times in all competitions, including a league debut goal.
- Nainggolan also scored the final-day goal v Empoli that clinched Champions League qualification for next season.
- But he missed 11 games over four separate issues, according to transfermarkt.
- In December, Inter suspended Nainggolan for ‘disciplinary reasons’.

With Inter securing Champions League football on the last day of the season ahead of arch-rivals AC Milan, plus the arrival of former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte – who once tried to lure the Belgian to west London – it seems Nainggolan has no plans to move on with so much to prepare ahead of next season.
Speaking to reporters, Nainggolan confirmed he will remain at Inter and described the thought of leaving the club as “strange”.

“I am not talking about the transfer market, I have always been on a team for many years and it would be strange if I left Inter after just one season,” he told Sky Italia.
“I have a three-year contract so I am calm.
“Inter are a club that wanted me and they are trying to grow. I would like to grow with them, let’s see how it goes. I have always been happy where I have been.”
