Most assists: Champions League 2020/21 standings
There’s no question the Champions League is world football’s most celebrated and demanding club competition.
Arguably the game’s elite players are currently gracing this stage with many considered to be creative geniuses. Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City, for example, recorded 20 assists in a single season for the second time, equalling the Premier League’s best in the process.
However, the Belgian playmaker is yet to be number one across a single Champions League campaign, managing just two last season. If Pep Guardiola’s men are to go even deeper this season, the Belgian will be hoping to be their serial provider. Angel Di Maria, who’s been rejuvenated at Paris Saint-Germain, is the reigning ‘assist king’ having created no fewer than six goals last term.
Can the Argentine go back-to-back?
