Manchester City betting specials: Price boosts for Brighton clash

Manchester City will look to close the gap on Manchester United and Liverpool when they host Brighton in the Premier League this evening.

Pep Guardiola’s side have two games in hand on their rivals ahead of kick-off – taking care of business at The Etihad will see them move to within a point of second place Liverpool.

City are suddenly looking like their old selves. A thrilling win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was followed up with a Carabao Cup semi-final win over United at Old Trafford last week before they eased past Birmingham City in the FA Cup on Sunday.

This isn’t a fixture Brighton have traditionally enjoyed, losing the last seven meetings and conceding 13 in the last three alone. Can they find a way to hold the hosts off tonight?

Ahead of kick-off, we take a look at some of the price boosts on offer with Sky Bet this evening.

Kevin de Bruyne to score from outside the area: 9/2

Kevin de Bruyne has scored just one goal from open play in the Premier League this season – capping a fine counter attack in that 3-1 victory over Chelsea 10 days ago.

There are signs however he is finding his range from distance once again, rattling the post with a sublime effort against Manchester United last week with five of his goals last season coming from outside the box.

Ruben Dias to score a header: 14/1

Perhaps an unlikely source for a goal, Dias has already shown his finishing touch on international duty this season with Portugal, netting twice in a Nations League victory over Croatia.

Manchester City to win 5-0: 18/1

City haven’t been handing out thrashings with their usual vigour this season, winning by a three-goal margin just once in the league this season at home to Burnley in November.

But having scored nine without reply in their last two meetings, it’s a fixture Pep Guardiola’s side are accustomed to running wild in.

Raheem Sterling to score a hat-trick: 33/1

Left out of the matchday squad against Birmingham, Raheem Sterling is rested and perhaps ready to put the Seagulls to the sword again.

The England international scored three against them in their last meeting at the end of last season.
