Man Utd vs Arsenal predicted XIs: Confirmed team news and probable line-ups
Manchester United welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford on Sunday 12th May for a huge clash which is being shown live on Sky Sports Premier League in the UK and is scheduled to kick off at 4.30pm.
While Arsenal’s part in a Premier League title race for the ages with Manchester City – the Gunners lead the way for now but the Citizens have a game in hand on their rivals, meaning they hold the aces – would normally create most of the headlines ahead of a game of this magnitude, it is Manchester United’s seemingly never ending troubles that have stolen the spotlight this time around.
Red Devils in disarray
On the pitch, United are coming off the back of a 4-0 drubbing at Crystal Palace, meaning they have now won only one of their last seven Premier League matches, with that sole victory coming against basement boys Sheffield United.
Off the pitch, however, the word turmoil does not even scratch the surface. There is not only uncertainty surrounding Erik ten Hag’s role as manager, but also the future of numerous players, including the likes of Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire.
Thomas Tuchel (11/8), Gareth Southgate (3/1) and Graham Potter (9/2) are the current favourites to replace Ten Hag. The issue is, though, they are three managers with completely different ideologies and tactics, suggesting that those highest up at United have issues as to what direction to take the club in, so it is little surprise to see those on the pitch getting thrashed 4-0 with no clear guidance from those at the top.
Arsenal are in fine form, while United are plagued with issues on the pitch, in the treatment room, in the boardroom and in the stands. It could be another difficult afternoon for the Red Devils.

Man Utd vs Arsenal Team News
Bruno Fernandes missed his first-ever match through injury against Crystal Palace, but the United skipper is in contention to return for Sunday’s clash.
Rashford, Lisandro Martinez, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw and Scott McTominay are all back in training and, like Fernandes, could be involved in the squad.
Raphael Varane is slightly behind those six in their recovery schedules so this game may come too soon, while Maguire and Willy Kambwala are expected to be out for the remainder of the season.
Arsenal, unlike their hosts, have a clean bill of health. Jurrien Timber has been building up match fitness with the Under-21s, even notching a goal in the process, and is in line to make the squad for the first time since the opening game of the season when he was forced off with an ACL injury against Nottingham Forest.
