Paul Pogba has been spotted training alone in New York following agent Mino Raiola’s comments claiming the midfielder wants to leave Manchester United.

Pogba’s return to Old Trafford has lasted three years so far, with the France international scoring 31 goals and winning the Europa League and EFL Cup during that time.

Is Pogba set to move on? Five key things to know…

  • Despite winning two trophies, Pogba’s return to United has been full of controversy.
  • Last season, the Frenchman had a public fallout with Jose Mourinho.
  • The midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
  • On Friday, Raiola told the Times that Pogba is looking to leave United.
  • Pogba has now been spotted training alone in New York.

However, the midfielder had a spat with ex-boss Mourinho last year and, with exit rumours mounting, had an altercation with supporters after United’s 2-0 defeat at home to Cardiff City on the final day of last season.

On Friday, Raiola then told the Times of Pogba’s intention to leave the club this summer, saying: “Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”

The Italian agent added: “Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul’s wishes.”

When asked directly if France international Pogba would travel with the squad for a pre-season tour of Australia on Sunday, Raiola said: “I cannot tell you anything. I live day by day.”

And now, while Man United’s squad prepare to head to Australia for the first part of their pre-season tour, Pogba has been spotted keeping in shape by running around New York’s Central Park.

The 26-year-old was wearing an Atlanta United shirt with Pogba and No. 4 on the back – the number worn by Pogba’s brother, Florentin, with the MLS champions.

Man United fans react furiously to Raiola’s comments

Pogba and United’s fanbase have hardly had a cordial relationship in recent months and now some Red Devils supporters have been sent into an angry spiral following Raiola’s latest comments, with many taking to Twitter to vent their rage.

However, despite doubts about Pogba’s long-term future at the club, the Frenchman has been included in United’s travelling party for their pre-season tour to Australia, China, Singapore and Wales.
