Man Utd fans quizzed: ‘Would You Rather’ Wan-Bissaka or Harry Maguire?
A new era has been ushered in at Manchester United with the arrivals of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
United kept just two clean sheets at home in the Premier League last season – fewer than any other side – but new boys Maguire and Wan-Bissaka helped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team keep Chelsea out in Sunday’s 4-0 thrashing of the Blues.
However, imagine a world in which United could only afford one of their expensive new defenders? Imagine having to make the choice between having Maguire or Wan-Bissaka at Old Trafford. It would be a tough call to make.
Maguire has spoken of the inspiration he took from United defenders of old, including Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, and has endeared himself to English supporters since breaking into the 2018 World Cup side.
Meanwhile, Wan-Bissaka has the potential to be one of the Premier League’s leading full-backs and is just about unbeatable in one-on-one situations.
