Manchester City will be looking to end their Premier League campaign on a high note when they welcome Everton on Sunday (4pm kick-off UK time).
Pep Guardiola’s men will understandably have one eye on next weekend’s Champions League final against Chelsea while the Toffees aim to be party poopers.

Man City vs Everton predicted XIs:
Joao Cancelo is the only Manchester City player definitely ruled out for the champions ahead of Everton’s visit. Pep Guardiola though is expected to make substantial changes from the starting XI that faced Brighton last time out. Nathan Aké, Eric García, Benjamin Mendy, Fernandinho, Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus should all feature from the start. Carlo Ancelotti must do without Seamus Coleman, James Rodriguez and Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
- Man City: Ederson; Garcia, Laporte, Ake; Walker, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Mendy; Torres, Jesus, Sterling.
- Everton: Pickford; Godfrey, Mina, Keane, Digne; Iwobi, Doucoure, Allan, Sigurdsson; Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison.
Fringe player vying for Champions League spot
With the championship done and dusted you can hardly blame Manchester City for turning all focus on their Champions League final debut. Pep Guardiola’s men will battle Premier League rivals Chelsea in Porto on May 29 for the honour of succeeding Bayern Munich as ‘Kings of Europe’. But before then an Etihad Stadium farewell against Everton. The Cityzens boast the league’s best home record this season having won 12 of their 18 games, though in recent outings they’ve struggled (three defeats across previous four games).
The expectations are for Guardiola to field a vastly different team from their previous game. Based on high profile matches we can presume who’ll be lining up at the Estádio do Dragão in a week’s time. But that doesn’t mean someone couldn’t gatecrash. Ferran Torres is making a strong case for inclusion; he’s been an unused substitute across City’s last four European Cup outings, but the Spanish forward has bagged five goals in his previous five league appearances.
