Man City team news

Pep Guardiola has a near fully fit squad to choose from for his side’s trip to Wembley, but he may be without defender Nathan Ake after he was forced off in their 1-1 draw against Bayern in midweek. Phil Foden has missed City’s five matches after having his appendix out, but could be fit enough for a place on the bench.

The Spaniard could also use this game to give some of his fringe players a rare start, with Julian Alvarez and Kalvin Phillips the most likely to come in, with their crucial Premier League decider with Arsenal looming on Wednesday.

Sheffield United team news

Paul Heckingbottom will have to make some changes to his starting XI with both James McAtee and Tommy Doyle unable to play against their parent club. That means Oliver Norwood could come straight into the engine room alongside John Fleck and Sander Berge.

Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham should also return to the 11, after missing the last two matches through suspension, but Ben Osborn, Rhian Brewster, Jack O’Connell, Enda Stevens and Rhys Norrington-Davies will play no part.
