Man City in advanced talks to sign Cancelo as Guardiola looks to finalise right flank options
Manchester City are reportedly in advanced talks to sign João Cancelo from Juventus with Danilo set to move in the other direction as part of the proposed deal.
The 25-year-old Portuguese right-back joined Italy’s most successful club last summer but could soon be deemed surplus to requirements by newly-appointed head coach Maurizio Sarri.

Cancelo, who has previously represented boyhood club Benfica, Valencia and Inter Milan, is set to leave Turin having made 34 official appearances in which time he was involved in six goals (scoring once and creating five more).
His signature, according to The Telegraph, will set defending Premier League champions City back £27.6m, while Danilo would end a two-year association with the English club.
Danilo, who initially joined City from Real Madrid, has struggled for game time under Pep Guardiola and is not a regular starter by any means.
Cancelo’s arrival would bolster Guardiola’s options on the right flank and he will be expected to provide serious competition and cover for Kyle Walker.
He is also in line to become City’s second defensive recruitment this summer after left-back Angeliño returned to the Etihad Stadium from PSV Eindhoven.
