Romelu Lukaku’s move to Inter could be about to take another twist as the Manchester United player posted ‘soon to be continued’ on Twitter.

Manchester United rejected a bid of over £50m for the player last week but it seems that a deal could be imminent.

Will Lukaku finally join Inter? Five key things to know…

  • Lukaku is expected to move this summer after comments from his agent in April.
  • The player admitted he’d ‘made a decision’ about leaving in June.
  • Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed he was unsure of Lukaku’s future when asked this summer.
  • United rejected Inter’s £54m offer from Inter this month.
  • Pictures on social media suggest another offer will soon be agreed.

This saga could soon be at an end after Inter’s well-documented attempts to sign Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has taken another turn.

The Italian giant have been trying to get a deal sorted for most of the summer but saw a bid of £54m rejected earlier this month.

The player has not featured in Manchester United’s pre-season tour due to a reported ankle injury but sceptics believe an imminent move to Serie A is behind the player’s lack of minutes.

Lukaku has now added weight to rumours a deal could be close after he posted a picture of him and his agent on Twitter with the caption ‘soon to be continued.’

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has no regrets over striker inclusion

With Lukaku ‘nursing an injury’, some have argued it was not the right decision to take the striker on the pre-season tour this summer, but that is not an opinion shared by the United manager.

Asked if he regretted taking Lukaku on tour, Solskjaer said: “He got injured in training so he had to stay here: if it was worse we would have sent him home, but he’s been working with the physios in the gym, so no.

“Of course it’s never nice to be a player who misses out on important fitness work and team understanding and tactical approach, so he’ll just have to make up later on then,” he added.

It now appears the Belgian forward will be leaving Old Trafford as United prepare to take on Chelsea in their opening fixture of the new Premier League campaign.
