Lorient vs PSG build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
Things are close at both ends of the Ligue 1 table and France’s top flight have the tightest relegation battle among Europe’s top five leagues, with the bottom three all currently tied on 15 points. Lorient are one of that trio, sitting 19th, above Nimes but below Dijon on goal difference, but they will feel confident of their safety chances.
Lorient currently have a game in hand on the teams above them which, considering they are three points from safety, could prove pivotal come the end of the season. However, to keep their chances of another season in Ligue 1 alive, Lorient will need to avoid a heavy defeat here, which could put them further away with regards to goal difference.
It’s unfortunate, then, that PSG are the best team in Ligue 1 in both goals scored and goals conceded. Pochettino’s side have netted 48 times in Ligue 1 so far this season, two more than league leaders Lyon, while their 11 goals conceded is only bettered by Atletico Madrid across Europe’s top five leagues.
Since Pochettino replaced Thomas Tuchel as PSG manager at the start of January, PSG are unbeaten in five games across all competition, with four straight wins including victory over rivals Marseille in the Super Cup. They are also on a winning streak in matches against Lorient, currently standing at 10 consecutive matches in Ligue 1 including six in a row away from home.
- Lorient (vs Dijon): Dreyer; Delaplace, Gravillon, Morel, Etienne; Monconduit, Lemoine, Chalobah; Boisgard, Moffi, Wissa.
- PSG (vs Montpellier): Navas; Florenzi, Marquinhos, Diallo*, Kurzawa; Paredes, Verratti*; Di Maria, Mbappe, Neymar; Icardi.
The hosts remain without Houbalang Mendes and Thomas Fontaine, while Stephane Diarra is a doubt, but can recall Armand Lauriente who is back from suspension.
Marco Verratti and Abdou Diallo have been ruled out for PSG, joining Colin Dagba, Juan Bernat and Ander Herrera as absent. Keylor Navas and Marquinhos both came off injured against Montpellier, but could still make the starting XI.

Player to watch: Mauro Icardi (PSG)
Back in the team after an injury-hit campaign so far, Mauro Icardi is among the PSG players most thriving under Pochettino. The Argentinian forward has played in four of the five games since his compatriot took over, scoring two and making two substitute appearances.
In that run, Icardi has scored three goals and recorded two assists. Only Angers have managed to prevent Icardi from being directly involved in a goal under Pochettino, but he quickly recovered from that, to score and assist in the 4-0 win over Montpellier last week.
Flanked by Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, now could be the time for Icardi to really make his mark in Paris.
