Liverpool have got their eyes set on a golden goodbye for departing boss Jurgen Klopp as they chase a trophy quadruple and this is a big week on their silverware hunt, with Wednesday’s Premier League clash with Luton followed by Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

Wembley is on the horizon, but this is no time for the Reds to become distracted as they look to pull further clear at the top of the Premier League.

The Merseysiders are 1/6 with Sky Bet to beat Luton, who are in the relegation zone on goal difference and 14/1 to pull off a huge upset at Anfield.

Salah back on the treatment table for Liverpool?

Liverpool were all to happy to welcome Mohamed Salah back into the fold on Saturday for his first Reds’ appearance since New Year’s Day.

The Egyptian picked up an injury whilst at the Africa Cup of Nations with his country, which ruled him out for a further handful of games despite the Pharaoh Kings’ unexpected Round of 16 exit from the competition.

Salah was introduced from the bench just before half-time for the injured Diogo Jota against Brentford on Saturday and duly marked his return to club football with a goal in his side’s emphatic 1-4 victory.

However, Kora Plus are now reporting that the Reds’ star man is set for another spell on the sidelines with respected journalist Ahmed Shoubir telling Egyptian TV station on Time Sports: “I have sad news, I learned that Salah suffered an injury at the end of the meeting between Liverpool and Brentford and renewed injury suffered during the camp of the Egyptian national team.”

It remains to be seen whether the reports are true but with Klopp already facing something of an injury crisis, the last thing he needs is for his talismanic attacker to miss more of the season as the Reds compete on all four trophy fronts.
