It’s fair to say Liverpool had a monumental 2018/19 campaign.

Jurgen Klopp’s men finally ended their run of three cup finals in three seasons by lifting the Uefa Champions League, beating the likes of PSG, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur along the way.

The Reds also notched up 97 points in the Premier League – the third-highest total in the competition’s history – sweeping aside almost everything before them.

However, that total was still not enough to overhaul Manchester City, who themselves posted 98 points as they won an incredible domestic treble.

Despite their European success, another year without a league title is bound to be the main talking point at Anfield and as we move further into the summer transfer window, attention will turn to how Liverpool can strengthen in the market so that they can challenge City once more.

So, how do you strengthen a squad that lost just one Premier League game all season? How do you possibly improve the European champions?

At Squawka, we’ve spoken to fans, journalists and the people involved with the club to get their views on what will be an absolutely vital summer on the red half of Merseyside.
