Liverpool look to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host relegation-threatened Aston Villa this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s newly-crowned champions were humbled by their predecessor a few days ago when Manchester City ran out 4-0 winners at the Etihad.
Their visitors, who are in the danger zone albeit two points from safety, are not expected to create any issues for the Reds, who have a 100% win rate at Anfield this season.

Bar the existing injury issues of Joel Matip, Xherdan Shaqiri and Dejan Lovren, Jürgen Klopp’s team has a clean bill of health and could make a few changes from last time out.
Frederic Guilbert is in contention to play after spending some several months out with a knee injury. Ezri Konsa picked up a knock in training but Dean Smith says he is “hopeful” he’ll be fit enough to play.
Players to watch:
Liverpool: The new champions were humbled last time out against the men they dethroned, with Mohamed Salah particularly frustrated. He’d attempt no fewer than four shots on goals, with one effort hitting the woodwork. His blank and Jamie Vardy’s brace vs Crystal Palace on Saturday means he’s fallen two goals behind in the race for this Premier League season’s Golden Boot.
The arrival of struggling Villa, though, presents him with a golden opportunity to fill his boots. Salah has scored more home goals this season than any other Premier League player (15), even Vardy (12). Conversely, no Premier League team have conceded more away goals this season than Villa (33).
Aston Villa: Given the significant gap in quality between the sides at Anfield this weekend it’s likely to be a long afternoon for Aston Villa meaning onus more than ever will be on their defence. Tyrone Mings has been never ever-present this season and earlier this season played in that 2-1 loss to Klopp’s side. The two-time England international will no doubt shoulder a leadership role and make sure his team remains compact as they’ll undoubtedly come under siege.
