The US Open started on August 29 with Billie Jean King National Tennis Center playing host to some of the biggest stars in tennis. We’ve almost finished the two weeks of action on the courts with over $60m in prize money up for grabs.
Carlos Alcaraz will be hoping to win his maiden title, and he’s now the favourite to lift the trophy although he faces stiff competition from Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev and his opponent in the quarter finals, Jannik Sinner.
On the women’s side of the draw Emma Raducanu wasn’t able to emulate her sensational maiden championship win last year after she was eliminated early on in the tournament. Iga Swiatek remains the favourite to win the women’s tournament but Ons Jabuer and Caroline Garcia will be hoping their names will be on the trophy later this week.
