AC Milan travel to Lille on Thursday (5:55 PM kick-off) in a battle at the top of Europa League Group H.
The Rossoneri sit second in the group, a point behind Lille after three games following their 3-0 defeat at the hands of the French club in their last continental fixture.
However, Stefano Pioli’s men have taken four points from two Serie A games since then — including a Zlatan Ibrahimovic-inspired 3-1 win away at Napoli last time out — to remain unbeaten in the league and two points clear at the top of the table.
Lille, meanwhile, lost 3-2 to Brest following their victory in Milan, but thrashed Lorient 4-0 last time out and look set to be PSG’s closest challengers this season, trailing the Parisians by just two points in Ligue 1.
A win for either side can all but seal progression to the Europa League knockout rounds as Group H’s bottom two, Sparta Prague and Celtic, battle it out in the other match. But who will come out on top?

Lille & AC Milan’s previous line-ups:
Lille (vs Lorient): Maignan; Pied, Soumaoro, Botman, Bradaric; Araujo*, Andre, Xeka, Bamba; Yazici, David.
AC Milan (vs Napoli): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic*.
Jose Fonte, Reinildo and Burak Yilmaz all missed the 4-0 win over Lorient due to suspension but are available to play here. Boubakary Soumare and Luiz Araujo are fitness doubts, while it looks like Renato Sanches will be unavailable.
Ibrahimovic suffered a thigh injuring during Milan’s 3-1 win over Napoli — in which he scored twice — and could miss the next three or four games. Mateo Musacchio and Rafael Leao are both doubts.
Players to watch:
Lille: After going 13 games without a goal, Jonathan David has finally opened his Lille account, netting in the dying minutes of Les Dogues’ 4-0 win over Lorient at the weekend. The Canadian forward made his name as one of Europe’s most promising youngsters during his time with Gent, where he managed 37 goals and 15 assists in 83 appearances. The main problem so far at Lille has been Christophe Galtier’s use of David as the main striker, which means he is tasked with leading the line and acting as the main attacking focal point. David is much happier playing behind the striker, where he can drift between the lines to link play or move out wide where he can create overloads or cut inside to get shots on goal. However, with a goal and two assists in his last three games, David finally seems to be adjusting to his new role, but can he inspire another important Europa League victory over Milan?
AC Milan: This match could go a long way toward confirming Milan’s place in the Europa League knockout rounds but Pioli will have to navigate it without Ibrahimovic and Leao. In their absence, expect Ante Rebic to lead the line for the Rossoneri. Given the form of his teammates, Rebic has struggled to get as many minutes as he would have liked in 2020/21 so far but, still, the Croatian forward has all the attributes to be a serious threat to Lille. Happy to operate anywhere along the forward line and just as skilful as he is physical, Rebic won’t allow Galtier’s defence a moment’s peace on Thursday. His assist for Ibrahimovic’s second goal against Napoli is illustrative of the pace and supreme delivery Rebic has in his arsenal.
