In case you didn’t know, Leeds United are back in the Premier League, and they are making a lot of noise.
Returning to the top flight after a 16-year exodus, Leeds have started the season pretty well, recently taking points off Manchester City, and looking comfortable.
Their promotion also means that Leeds are back in the Premier League automatically on FIFA 21, giving fans the opportunity to play in the top flight without having to go through a season of Championship action first.
But how does Leeds’ new Premier League squad shape up in FIFA 21? Who are the players making their 3.5-star rating?
We’ve got you covered. Read on for Leeds’ FIFA 21 player ratings and stats in full.
Squad list is based on players in latest downloadable update at time of publication (10:00 on 08/10/2020).
Leeds’ FIFA 21 ratings: Goalkeepers
Starting with the goalkeepers, Leeds’ squad is slacking behind the rest of the Premier League, with their highest-rated shot-stopper coming with an overall of 74. But Kiko Casilla isn’t their starter, that’s Illan Meslier, whose overall is even lower at 69. Unfortunately on FIFA 21 this is still very much a Championship goalkeeping set up, but that’s to be expected considering they have other needs.
Leeds goalkeeper ratings for FIFA 21: Kiko Casilla (74), Illan Meslier (69), Elia Caprile (60).
Leeds’ FIFA 21 ratings: Defenders
One of Leeds’ new signings this summer was Diego Llorente, and the Spaniard flies straight in as the club’s top defender with an overall of 76. But the 27-year-old is yet to appear for his new team, with another new signing Robin Koch (also 76-rated) and Liam Cooper (73) the default starting centre-backs. FIFA 21 also gives Leeds fans a chance to use 70-rated defender Gaetano Berardi should they so wish. The one-cap Swiss international’s contract with Leeds ran out in the summer and he is yet to sign a new deal, but he also hasn’t confirmed his departure. The biggest reason for this is that he is currently out with an ACL injury, but Leeds are sticking by him, and for now, he is theirs on FIFA 21. Leeds also have A LOT of depth in defence.
Leeds defender ratings for FIFA 21: Diego Llorente (76), Robin Koch (76), Luke Ayling (75), Ezgjan Alioski (73), Stuart Dallas (73), Liam Cooper (73), Barry Douglas (72), Gaetano Berardi (70), Leif Davis (64), Pascal Struijk (62), Ouasim Bouy (61), Cody Drameh (61), Oliver Casey (59), Charlie Cresswell (55).
Leeds’ FIFA 21 ratings: Midfielders
Leeds’ star last season was Kalvin Phillips and he is, understandably, their top midfielder and one of their best players when it comes to FIFA 21. The Englishman is one of seven Leeds midfielders rated 70 and over, including Jack Harrison (74) who is back on loan from Manchester City and Helder Costa (73), who made his move from Wolves permanent. But after those seven there is a drop in quality to the likes of 65-rated Jamie Shackleton. It might be best to avoid rotation here.
Leeds midfielder ratings for FIFA 21: Kalvin Phillips (76), Pablo Hernandez (75), Jack Harrison (74), Mateusz Klich (73), Helder Costa (73), Adam Forshaw (70), Tyler Roberts (70), Jamie Shackleton (65), Ian Poveda (62), Robbie Gotts (61).
Leeds’ FIFA 21 ratings: Forwards
The biggest moves Leeds made in the transfer window came in attack, and they have seriously boosted their front line when it comes to FIFA 21. Firstly, former Valencia striker Rodrigo is their top-rated player with an overall of 82, despite the fact he has been playing second fiddle to Patrick Bamford (71) in the opening weeks of the new campaign. Then, deadline day signing Raphinha comes in with an overall rating of 81, takings Leeds’ number of 80+ players to two. Now, Raphinha isn’t actually part of the latest downloadable squad update, but he can easily be transferred from Rennes. Or you can just wait for the inevitable updates soon.
Leeds forward ratings for FIFA 21: Rodrigo (82), Raphinha (81), Patrick Bamford (71), Crysencio Summerville (68), Jay-Roy Grot (64), Joe Gelhardt (61).
