The Serie A title race will heat up further this weekend as Lazio host Inter Milan, both still chasing glory.
Inter are currently top of the table on 54 points, ahead of Juventus only on goal difference. Head-to-head records will kick in once the pair play their second meeting, but Inter will likely have dropped to second by kick-off in Rome as the Old Lady play second-from-bottom Brescia first.
One point behind the pair, however, are Lazio, on 53 points after a fantastic campaign so far. And they will be hoping to leapfrog at least Inter Milan with a victory this weekend.
Can Simone Inzaghi’s men remain in the race or will Inter Milan keep their razor-thin lead over Juventus? Read on for our Lazio vs Inter Milan preview, predictions, team news and TV coverage information.

Ones to watch
Lazio: Ciro Immobile
There is definitely more about Lazio than just Ciro Immobile. Luis Alberto, for instance, has the most assists (11) in Serie A this season. But sometimes it is worth just taking a step back and admiring the form of the Italian goal machine.
Celebrating his 30th birthday next week, Immobile is just four goals off his best-ever Serie A tally; this, he recorded during the 2017/18 campaign by scoring 29 times.
His total of 25 in just 23 games so far this season (a goal every 77 minutes) has Immobile at least three strikes clear of anyone playing in Europe’s top five leagues. His closest competitor in this sense is Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, on 22.
However, Immobile is without a goal in his past two Serie A games – his joint-longest drought this season – and will be looking to break that duck in Lazio’s biggest game.
Key stat: Ciro Immobile (31) has been directly involved in more league goals than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
Inter Milan: Romelu Lukaku
While Immobile is firing goal in for Lazio, Romelu Lukaku is doing the same for Inter as part of Antonio Conte’s Premier League tribute act.
The Belgian has been directly involved in 19 Serie A goals this season, scoring 17 and adding two assists, 39.6% of Inter’s total tally. After stagnating at Manchester United last season, Lukaku is very much back to his best and looks a threat in almost every game he plays, such is the confidence Conte has instilled in him.
Unlike Immobile, Lukaku has scored three goals in his past two, including one in the Milan Derby win, so will be looking to add to his tally against Lazio.
Key stat: Romelu Lukaku has scored 17 league goals this season, a tally he has only better twice in his career.

Boasting the joint-best defences in Serie A this season, both conceding 20 goals, Inter Milan’s trip to Lazio will be a close one.
Lazio have been the better in front of goal, thanks to Immobile’s sharp shooting, but Lukaku is doing his best to match the Italian. In the end the two sides could cancel each other out in a result that will certainly benefit Juventus.
