Benzema notched a whopping 44 goals in 46 games as Los Blancos won the Champions League and reclaimed their La Liga crown off rivals Atletico Madrid. And club president Perez has now sung the forward’s praises quite exceedingly by comparing him to Zidane and Ronaldo, two of his former Galacticos.
“I’m happy because at last Karim Benzema has his due as the best player in the world, which is what he has been for a few years. He has deserved it for a long time because he has been the best for three or four years,” Perez told Cadena Ser.
“He’s a 9 that’s a mix of Ronaldo Nazario and Zinedine Zidane. He’s a 9 that does those two jobs at the same time. He moves forward like Zidane did and shoots on goal like Ronaldo did.”
