Juventus will be hoping to build on their first Serie A win of the season when they host Sampdoria on Sunday at 11:30am (UK time).
Massimiliano Allegri’s men are currently languishing in the bottom half of the table, a massive 11 points behind current league leaders AC Milan.

Juventus search for first home win of 2021/22
Some people will have put Juventus’ struggles to finish in the top four last season down to Andrea Pirlo, as the Italian was inexperienced in the role, being thrown in at the deep end. But the start of the 2021/22 campaign showed the problems ran deeper than a manager taking his first job.
Under Allegri, who led Juventus to five league titles and four Coppa Italias in between 2014 and 2019, the Bianconeri took five matches to get their first Serie A win of the season. Juventus opened the campaign with a 2-2 draw with Udinese but then lost back-to-back matches either side of the international break against Empoli and Napoli.
Another draw, this time with Milan, saw them lose an early lead last weekend but it was Spezia who finally gave Juventus their first league win of the campaign – a 3-2 thriller in which the Bianconeri took the lead and then had to come from behind away from home. That wasn’t their first win of the season overall, as Juventus did beat Malmo 3-0 in the Champions League, but it finally got their Serie A campaign up and running.
The Champions League returns in midweek with Juventus at home to Chelsea, but Allegri is not looking further than Sunday with the Italian side looking to get their first win of the season at the Allianz Stadium.
“We must face this game by playing well and trying to make one step forward in the table, then we’ll think about Chelsea,” he told reporters.
“We won the first game away and we must do the same at home, there will be changes because some players played 6-7 games in the last period.”
They have decent opponents for that game on Sunday, with Sampdoria below Juventus on goal difference, having also won one, draw two and lost two of their opening five matches. Sampdoria’s sole victory so far came last weekend as they beat Empoli 3-0, but they followed that up with a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Napoli in midweek – not good preparation.
Scoreline prediction: Juventus 2-0 Sampdoria
