Inter Milan must get their faltering season back on track when they host Torino on Monday at 8:45 PM.
The Nerazzurri have taken just one point from their last two gamesm, losing 2-1 to Bologna and drawing 2-2 against Verona in a sequence which has seen them slip to fourth in the table.
Although Antonio Conte’s men are 14 points clear of fifth-placed Roma and well safe in the Champions League qualification spots, they will want to finish as high as possible and probably aren’t ready to give up on their faint Serie A title hopes just yet. Even if they are 10 points behind Juventus with seven games to go.
Torino, meanwhile, put a three-game losing streak behind them to beat struggling Brescia 3-1 last time out. Moreno Longo’s men will be equally keen to take a share of the spoils here given they currently sit 15th in the table and are still only seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Inter Milan & Torino’s previous line-ups:
- Inter Milan (vs Verona): Handanovic; Godin, De Vrij, Skriniar; Candreva, Gagliardini, Brozovic, Young; Lukaku, Valero, Sanchez.
- Torino (vs Brescia): Sirigu; Lyanco, N’Koulou, Bremer; De Silvestri, Meite, Rincon, Ansaldi; Verdi; Zaza*, Belotti.
Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella and Victor Moses are all injured. Lautaro Martinez is likely to return to the starting XI after coming on from the bench against Verona.
Simeone Zaza is suspended but Torino can welcome back defender Armando Izzo. Daniele Baselli is injured.
Player to watch: Stefan de Vrij (Inter)
While Inter remain relatively free-scoring, Conte’s side have conceded 10 in seven games across all competitions since returning to action, keeping just one clean sheet in the process during a 6-0 thrashing of 19th-placed Brescia.
If they’re to climb back into the top two or three spots in Serie A (let alone think about re-igniting a title challenge), Inter simply must tighten up at the back and leading the way in that effort is Dutch centre-half, Stefan de Vrij.
De Vrij has made more interceptions (42) and blocks (21) than any other Inter player in Serie A this season but is suffering from a relative lack of pace around him.
He can’t do it all alone, but De Vrij must try to galvanise his defensive partners to help Inter get back on track.
Scoreline prediction: Inter 3-1 Torino
