Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas believes Real Madrid should make Eden Hazard and Kylian Mbappe their prime transfer targets.
Hazard has long been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, while Mbappe’s form for PSG and France over the last two seasons has seen him become the most lauded youngster in world football.
Real Madrid have suffered a torrid season under Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari – before the latter was replaced by Zinedine Zidane – and find themselves 13 points adrift of the La Liga summit, out of Champions League in the first knockout round and eliminated in Copa del Rey semi-final by Barcelona.
A squad overhaul is clearly needed in the summer and Aspas reckons Hazard and Mbappe could spearhead a new-look Madrid side next season.
“Of the players that I would like Madrid to sign, Hazard or Mbappe would be at the top, although Hazard would be more affordable,” Aspas told Radio Marca.
Hazard has hinted in the past that he ‘dreams’ of playing for Real Madrid in the future and even with Chelsea’s transfer embargo, it’s hard to imagine them keeping hold of the 28-year-old should he wish to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Aspas: Pogba is not a Real Madrid player
Much has been made of the recent media flirtation between Paul Pogba and Zinedine Zidane, with the former claiming Real Madrid are a ‘dream’ club to play for, while the latter has had some very complimentary things to say in response.
However, Aspas doesn’t think Pogba, or the also-linked N’Golo Kante, would be the right fit for Madrid and has urged them to instead target Bayern Munich and former Barcelona midfielder, Thiago Alcantara.
“Pogba or Kante are not players for Real Madrid and the players they (already) have in the midfield are players who I like,” he added.
“They already have Dani Ceballos, an international who has not enjoyed continuity at club level and needs this aged 21.
“Thiago Alcantara, for me, would be a better signing than Pogba or Kante.”
