Super Lig title aspirants Fenerbahce travel to Hatayspor in a fourth vs fifth clash on Sunday at 2pm (UK time).

Having drawn three successive games in September, Fenerbahce got back to winning ways last time out against Giresunspor and will now be looking to build on that momentum when they venture to Antakya to face an in-form Hatayspor.

Hatayspor vs Fenerbahce build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:

Hatayspor have made a strong start to the campaign under Omer Erdogan, with the Star of the South currently on a tear of four winning games which has left them fourth in the table and only two points off early table-toppers Atlay. A defeat to Galatasaray on matchday two is the only blemish on an otherwise near-flawless start, and Erdogan will be determined to ensure his side don’t lose back-to-back games against one of Turkey’s ‘Big Three’.

Fenerbahce meanwhile are still adapting to life under summer-appointment Vitor Pereira, who actually managed the club between 2015 and 2016, with the Yellow Canaries currently fifth in the table and level on points with Hatayspor. Pereira’s men endured three successive draws earlier this month in both the Super Lig and Europe, but a 2-1 win over Giresunspor on Thursday has just got the Istanbul club back on a winning path.

  • Hatayspor (vs Goztepe): Munir; Corekci, Kurucuk, Oksuz, Adekugbe; Sackey, Ribeiro, Traore, Lobzhanidze, El Kaabi; Diouf.
  • Fenerbahce (vs Giresunspor): Bayindir; Min-jae, Aziz, Szalai; Osayi-Samuel, Yandas, Gustavo, Kadioglu; Rossi, Ozil, Valencia.

Irfan Can Kahveci, Marcel Tisserand, Nazim Sangare and Jose Sosa remain sidelined for Fenerbahce, while Serdar Aziz missed his first game of the season last time out and faces a race against time to be fit for Hatayspor.

Player to watch: Bright Osayi-Samuel (Fenerbahce)

With Mesut Ozil largely stealing the headlines at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, the signing of Bright Osayi-Samuel from Queens Park Rangers in the summer has somewhat gone under the radar, but the 23-year-old midfielder has been in sensational form for his new club and has really acclimatised seamlessly to Turkish football. Having started his career with Blackpool, the Nigerian wing-wizard has enjoyed an upward trajectory since his Bloomfield Road days and enters this match as Fenerbahce’s chief dribbler, having completed more take-ons (11) than any other player at the club this season, as well as taking on the most shots (8), underpinning his influence in the final third under Pereira.
