First run in 1834, the Grand Annual Chase is the oldest race at the Festival, and open to five-year-olds and above.

J.P. McManus appears to have a strong hold on this year’s race, with Willie Mullins’ Dinoblue and Gordon Elliott’s Andy Dufresne well in contention.

Fresh from two wins on Tuesday, Mullins will be hoping Dinoblue or Dads Lad can provide his first victory in this race.

Seven of the last 10 winners have come home at double-figure odds. At 28/1, Ben Pauling’s Global Citizen followed the trend 12 months ago, and will be hoping for a repeat performance with Luca Morgan in saddle this time around.

Paul Nicholls has enjoyed a record four triumphs in the Grand Annual Chase, so Thyme White may also be worth taking into consideration.

After Honeysuckle’s fitting farewell on day one, Rachael Blackmore and Henry De Bromhead’s Epson Du Houx cannot be written off here, with the latter also training Coeur Sublime and Maskada.
