Getafe and Atletico Madrid meet in one of La Liga’s less antagonising capital clashes at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Tuesday at 6.30pm (UK time).
The reigning Spanish champions will be seeking a return to winning ways having been halted by Athletic Bilbao at the weekend in a goalless draw, while Getafe face their second successive all-Madrid derby having suffered a 3-0 reversal at the hands of Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

Getafe vs Atletico Madrid build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
It has been a disastrous start to the campaign for Azulones under Michel, who are currently caught in the riptide of a five-game losing run, as one of only two sides without a single point in 2021/22. Their only saving grace is that Alaves have a worse goal difference so they are currently 19th and not rock bottom. Their predicament remains the same, but psychologically that will give them at least a modicum of optimism as they welcome the Spanish champions in midweek.
Diego Simeone’s men find themselves in familiar territory in these opening weeks, with Atleti currently second in the table and still unbeaten after five games. They were frustrated at the weekend as Athletic Bilbao collected a point at the Wanda Metropolitano, but Simeone will take solace knowing he faces Getafe next, as the Argentinian coach has taken on Azulones 17 times in La Liga without defeat (15 wins, two draws), more than against any other side in the competition.
- Getafe (vs Rayo Vallecano): Soria; Iglesias, Djene, Cuenca, Olivera; Suarez, Maksimovic, Chema, Jankto*; Alena, Unal.
- Atletico Madrid (vs Athletic Bilbao): Oblak; Savic, Gimenez, Hermoso; Trippier, Kondogbia, De Paul, Llorente, Lodi; Griezmann, Correa.
Erick Cabaco and Mauro Arambarri are both currently struggling for fitness, while Jakub Jankto was withdrawn in only the 14th minute against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend, coming off injured with a calf issue, and is therefore a doubt this midweek. For Atleti Thomas Lemar is struggling with a muscle complaint, while Joao Felix is suspended following his red card at the weekend.

Player to watch: Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid)
Scoring goals has been a major issue for Getafe this season, so the last thing they want to see as they look to end their final-third draught is Jan Oblak. The only crumb of comfort for manager Michel is that their one goal so far this campaign came in the 2-1 defeat to Barcelona at the Camp Nou, so he knows his side have the capabilities of breaching high quality nets. However, Oblak is difference obstacle altogether. The impervious Slovenian shot-stopper has kept more clean sheets than any other player in the last five seasons across Europe’s top five leagues (79), with Ederson the only other player to surpass the 70-shutout mark (75). If Getafe are to end their losing run of 17 consecutive games against Atleti, in which they have also failed to score in that run, then they will need to find a way past Oblak, which is much easier said than done.
