Gent vs Standard Liege build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
When the Belgian Pro League regular season is over, it breaks into two groups, with some teams fighting for the title and others competing for European football. This season, only four teams are fighting for a spot in the Europa Conference League, with the top team avoiding a play-off against the bottom-club of the championship group and going straight into UEFA’s new competition.
In the penultimate round of fixtures, Gent will be looking to keep close to group leaders Mechelen, having won two, drawn one and lost one of their opening four games. Gent are two points behind Mechelen, who they face in their final group game at the weekend, so only need to match their result in midweek to stay in control of their destiny.
Standard Liege, on the other hand, need to win both of their remaining games to stand a chance of qualifying, having lost three of their past four matches. That win did, however, come against Gent, a 2-1 victory in the second round of fixtures that had put them in a decent position at the time.
- Gent (vs Oostende): Bolat; Samoise, Godeau, Hanche-Olsen, Ndageu, Castro-Montes; Kums, Odjidja-Ofoe; Bezus; Yaremchuk, Malede.
- Standard Liege (vs Mechelen): Bodart*; Siquet, Sissako, Laifis, Gavory; Bastien, Delferriere; Balikwisha, Lestienne; Klauss, Muleka.
Gent have no fresh injury concerns but Standard Liege suffered a blow at the weekend, with first-choice goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart picking up an injury which rules him out for the remainder of the season.

Player to watch: Roman Bezus (Gent)
Roman Bezus did not have the best regular season, scoring just two goals in 22 league games before the split, and they both came in his 21st match of the campaign. However, that is form he has carried over to the Europa Conference League play-offs.
The 30-year-old has now scored three goals in his past four matches, including Gent’s only strike in their 2-1 defeat to Standard Liege just under two weeks ago. Last time out, against Oostende, Bezus was the star man, scoring twice to open the scoring and then finish it off, keeping Gent’s fate in their own hands.
